Why is there water in energy-saving air compressors?
Many industries require that the compressed air of screw air compressors be water-free, but air compressors often contain water. What are the reasons for the presence of water in air compressors?
1. Because there is always water in the air, the so-called humidity, it will become supersaturated after compression, and the water in the air will be analyzed and become a liquid. The moisture content in compressed air is related to the humidity of the air. If the environment in the machine room is too humid, the water content in the air will exceed the usage standard.
2. The automatic drain installed in the air compressor itself is blocked or the automatic drain of the air storage tank is blocked.
3. The corresponding dryer was not installed or it did not work normally after installation (the drying equipment failed and was not discovered and processed in time), and the gas compressed by the air compressor was not processed in time, resulting in a large amount of water still contained after elimination, which could not be achieved. Normal use requirements.
4. Post-measures are insufficient. In production processes that require strict compressor gas quality, there are generally facilities such as precision filters to carry out a second action on the gas and further purify it until production requirements are met.
How is water produced?
When the air compressor is working, the internal temperature of the head is very high, and the water in the inhaled natural air will form water vapor during the operation of the air compressor. The air storage tank can not only provide a buffer and storage space for compressed air, but also reduce pressure and cool down. When compressed air passes through the air storage tank, the high-speed air flow hits the wall of the air storage tank and causes it to converge, causing the temperature to drop rapidly in the air storage tank, liquefying a large amount of water vapor to form condensed water. If you catch up with humid weather or winter, more condensate will form.
